The International Ibsen Scholarships were initiated by the Norwegian government and will be awarded for the third time in 2010. We solicit relevant applications, from projects throughout the world.
The scholarships are meant to act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen, and are applicable to individuals, organizations and institutions within the artistic and cultural communities. The applications are subject to scrutiny by an appointed jury.
Previous years, projects from Asia, North-America, Europe, Africa and Australia have received scholarships.
The presentation of the scholarships is staged in Ibsen's birth town, Skien in Norway in September 2010 and coincides with Skien International Ibsen Conference.
The application deadline for The International Ibsen Scholarships is April 15th, 2010. The statutes and application form can be found here.
